Dorothy "Dot" Esther Nellums

Boiling Springs, SC -- Dorothy “Dot” Esther Nellums passed away on July 31, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Alfreda and Buck Nellums and the loving wife of Charles R. Paulk. Dot had a long and successful career in bookkeeping, dedicating over 40 years to her profession. Beyond her work, she was deeply involved in her community — preparing meals for the homeless, volunteering her time, and giving generously to those in need. Dot was also an active member of NAWIC for many years, forming lasting friendships and mentoring others with care and wisdom. Dot prided herself on being a trusted confidant, loyal friend, and a beloved Aunt (second mom) to so many. She also had a creative soul, and was a talented painter. She would have a unique solution to any problem, otherwise known as "Dot hacks". She enjoyed a warm breeze on the beach and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She will be remembered for her heart, her talent, and her unwavering generosity. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her step daughter, Jessica; sisters, Dora Nellums and Doris Edigo; brother, Phillip Nellums; niece, Jessica Gregory; sister in law, Penny; and nephews-in-law, Charles, Scott, and David.
