Diana Lee Wentworth

Greer, SC -- With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Diana Lee Wentworth, who peacefully entered eternal rest on July 5, 2026. Diana was 76 years old and endured a long battle with Alzheimer’s dementia. Born on August 5, 1949, in Fort Myers, Florida, Diana was the beloved daughter of the late Teresa and Harvey Wilson and the oldest of eight siblings. From an early age, she embodied the caring spirit, strength, and resilience that would guide her throughout her life. She was a mother figure to her younger siblings, a babysitter, disciplinarian, and most importantly, a devoted caregiver to her mother, Theresa. On February 18, 2006, Diana married the love of her life, Gary Wentworth in a snow-covered ceremony in Pigeon Forge, TN. Gary was her everything. Together they shared a marriage filled with love, laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion. They especially cherished their trips to the mountains, escaping back to Pigeon Forge whenever they had the chance. Those getaways became some of their most treasured memories, filled with the beauty of the mountains and the simple joy of being together. After a dedicated career with Publix, Diana embraced retirement by enjoying the things she loved most. She found great joy in cooking for Gary. She loved reading books about herbs and natural wellness and delighted in making handmade soaps and lotions to share with those she loved. Diana approached life with quiet strength and practical wisdom. Her favorite saying, “It is what it is,” reflected her ability to accept life’s challenges with grace and move forward with faith and resilience. Her gentle heart, warm smile, and generous spirit touched countless lives and will never be forgotten. Diana is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, Gary Wentworth; her children, Jonelle (Stan), Rhonda (Brian), Heath (Jamie) and Karena; her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Kellen, Jacey, Seth, Hadyn, Jentry, Jacob and Jameson; her seven beloved brothers and sisters, Renee (Jon), Harvey (Dorothy), Lynette, Jeannine, Michael, Suzette (Wally) and Patrick; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa and Harvey Wilson. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Diana’s love, kindness, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her memory will forever be a blessing. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Interim Hospice for the phenomenal care, love and compassion shown to Diana during this difficult time. At Diana’s request, no services will be planned.
