Robert Michael Hill

May 23, 1947 - February 23, 2022

Lyman, SC- Robert Michael (Mike) Hill passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Liz) R. Hill and the son of the late Robert Fredrick Hill and Frances Katherine Tripp Hill. Mike was born on May 23, 1947 in Camp Lejeune, NC. He served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and attended East Carolina University. He enjoyed scuba diving, snow skiing, and water skiing and loved traveling. He worked for the US Postal Service as a Sales Specialist. Most of all, Mike enjoyed being with family and friends. In addition to his wife, Liz, Mike is survived is by his children, Stephen Freeman, Dave Freeman, and Jeffery Sims (Dena); his grandchildren, Tyler Freeman, Justin Sims (Katelind), Will Sims, Cody Sims, Whitney Dodd, Christopher Smith, and Layla Rickard; his great grandchildren, Hayden Sims, Landen Sims, Declan Sims, and Paxton Walker; special daughter-in-law and friend, Julia Smith (Dave); his brother, Charles Hill (Carol); sister-in-law, Joyce Raburn (Bryson); special friends, Mike and Sharon Wilson, Fred and Patty Dobbins, and his friends at McRey’s Distributors; and his beloved dog, Sam. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory, 529 Spartanburg Hwy. S., Lyman, SC 29365. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:00 PM.
