May 16, 1957 - September 13, 2021
Spartanburg, SC – Lindalee St. Peter, 64, passed away September 13,2021, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. She was born May 16, 1957, to parents Harold Leo Hester and Geneva Beatrice Walton. She married Michael Lionel St. Peter on June 13, 1980. Linda is predeceased by her parents and one baby who passed in utero. She is survived by her husband Michael St. Peter, children Michael Ryan St. Peter, Christopher Michael St. Peter, Patricia Ann Strang (Jeremy), Geneva Lee St. Peter, and Patrick Lee St. Peter (Ashleigh). Her beloved grandchildren, Leilani Meade (Austin), Krysta Crook, Jackson St. Peter, Christian St. Peter, Madison, Issac, Brynley, Clarissa, and McKenna Strang, Savannah, Hayden, and Riverlynn St. Peter and her first great grandchild, Solomon Austin Meade due December 9. She is survived by her siblings, Rick Hester (Dawn), Mark Hester (Heather), Jim Hester, Kimberlee Chevreux (Eric) and Marty Hester (Coleen), all of Maine; her in-laws, John St. Peter, Barbara Alexander (Bruce), and Kim St. Peter, all of Maine, and Lauri St. Peter of South Carolina as well as countless cousins, nieces, and nephews. Linda worked alternately as a bookkeeper/accountant and as an owner/operator of a home childcare called Tot Tenders. She had a great love of numbers, but children were always her heart and soul. She spent decades teaching children’s church, Sunday school, Word of Life Olympian, and Gopher clubs, and as director or volunteer at dozens of Vacation Bible Schools. She was a loyal member of Community Baptist Church, and her greatest joy was leading children to her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated Christ follower, a faithful member of the choir who sang beautiful solos and duets whenever asked though they scared her terribly. Linda was a self-proclaimed craft-aholic and her paintings, quilts, flower arrangements and various other artworks grace the homes of many who loved her. Linda brought joy (and mischief) to everyone who met her. She was not a materialistic woman but her collection of jewelry to match every outfit was a source of awe. Her family loved giving her new pieces, at times just to see how she could make them match. Viewing will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM followed immediately by the memorial service. Both will be held at Community Baptist Church; 8 Windmill Drive Wellford, SC 29385 A Facebook live video will be posted of the memorial service on the Facebook page of Lindalee St. Peter.
