    Joseph Franklin Kelly

    August 8, 1977 - April 21, 2022

Joseph Franklin Kelly was tragically killed on April 21, 2022 in a vehicular accident in Bessemer City, N.C. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, but lived most of his life in Spartanburg County. Joe was a highly valued and key employee of The Roberts Company as a Safety Supervisor on one of their industrial construction projects in Bessemer City. He attended Dorman High School in Spartanburg, S.C., and was, without question, an utterly devoted father to his son, Meyer, age 10. He loved to play golf, and basketball was a passion for him as was following the Florida Gators football program. Joe had an infectious grin that will be missed and his self-assurance was evident to anyone who knew him. He lived his life every day to the fullest and was totally loyal to his friends and family. The generosity of his heart had no boundary. Joe had come to know the Lord and developed a special relationship with Him. He is survived by his very much loved son Meyer, of Charleston, S.C., devoted mother Deborah Poole (John) of Moore, S.C., his father David Kelly (DeDe) of Charleston, S.C., a beloved sister Tamara Enright (Michael) of the Isle of Palms, S.C., a beloved brother Trey Poole, of Minneapolis, MN, and beloved nephews, Bowen Enright, Kelly Enright, and nieces Talula Enright, and Wilhelmina Enright, of the Isle of Palms, S.C. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he all loved dearly, and his former spouse, Meghan Armstrong, of Charleston, S.C. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory, 529 Spartanburg Hwy. S., Lyman, SC, followed by refreshments.
