Lyman: Jean Cathryn Yoder Lambert, 93, of Lyman, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Owen and Verda Yoder of Nappanee, Indiana. Mrs. Lambert received her Master’s Degree in Nursing. She proudly worked in the medical field and taught courses in Nursing. A truly great spirit left us and the world is diminished for a time as a result. She was one of the worlds genuine kind spirits. Quite simply if we all behaved towards one another as she treated everyone the world would be as it should. She taught us kindness, respect and love. Her 50 yrs. as a nurse touched thousands of lives. She was a pioneer in many ways but as a psych nurse she was trailblazing the way for addiction treatments and mental health for our nations Vietnam Vets. She was a true feminist long before popular awareness. She was an inspiration for so many people her work and legacy will continue on. She was full of life and her passion for what she loved and believed in was easy to see. She was a member of Sweet Adaline’s for more than 2 decades, as she was truly an angel the love and light inside her was abundant in her voice and shown through when she was onstage singing. Her life and legacy will live on in all of us. We are all better people for being fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by 4 of 6 children, Krina Galvin, Julie Caruso, Kurt Echols & Jana Carroll. She has 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren. . She was preceded in death by her sons, Jeb & Kenny Echols; her brother, Darryl Yoder; and her grandson, Jed Carroll.
