Judy Ann Kruse

Judy Kruse (Nana), 78, loving wife of Arvin Kruse, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. Judy was born on December 11, 1946, to the late Troy and Margaret Edwards in Spartanburg, SC where she was raised and lived her entire life. Judy retired from Springs Industries after 20 years. Everyone that knew Judy (Nana) knew how fiercely she loved her family. She made it known to everyone that her husband, Arv (Poppy) was the love of her life and her best friend. She never missed an academic celebration, graduation, sporting event, baptism, or birthday. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader! She cherished every minute she had with her family! Judy will be remembered for her selfless nature, generous heart, love for fashion/shopping (and lipstick), countless friendships, love for traveling (especially Hilton Head Island), beaming pride for her family, and her ability to make everyone feel special and “at home”. Her faith was her grounding source; deeply rooted and a steady source of strength and encouragement. She was also a big supporter in the community – being one of Dorman’s biggest fans (all sports) for decades. Every single birthday of her family members was a big celebration. Thoughtful and intentional birthday calls and handwritten cards were never forgotten! Surviving are a husband, Arvin Kruse; two daughters, Sandy Kruse of Knoxville, TN and Kandy Barbare (Billy) of Wellford, SC; two sons, Ken Kruse (Angie) of Wellford, SC and Richie Solesbee (Candy) of Wellford, SC; one daughter in law, Robyn Kruse, two brothers, Darren Edwards of Spartanburg, SC and David Edwards (Heidi) of Greer, SC; one bonus mother, Pat Edwards of Spartanburg, SC; Nine grandchildren, Brittney Watt (Nick), Austin Johnson, Chris Litterall, Josh Kruse, Brent Barbare (Janna), Jessica Kruse, Branson Solesbee (Lilly), and Morgan Ellis (Jordan); Zane Cordell (Maegan); Thirteen great grandchildren, Riley Barbare, Sydney Watt, Savanna Watt, Will Watt, Caydence Cordell, Lily Faneuf, Lyla Faneuf, Jay Kruse, Atlas Litteral, Kyle Cordell, Charlie Cordell, Reid Solesbee, and Maybree Barbare. She was predeceased by two sons, Ronnie Solesbee and Greg Kruse and one grandson Kyle Cordell. Her love will be carried in the hearts of everyone that knew her. She left a legacy of love, kindness, and family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
